Alexis Riddick, M.A., Graduate Student Intern

Sometimes, life is full of new experiences that can feel challenging to navigate alone. It is my passion to work alongside you to uncover those challenges and discover proactive ways of working towards your goals. As a mental health professional, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment that honors cultural identity, lived experience, and individual strengths.

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in child and family development from North Carolina Central University. I am currently completing my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. My academic and professional background is deeply rooted in understanding the intersection of mental health, physical health, culture, and community.

As a practicum student at KKJ my services include assisting with psychological evaluations and therapy for individuals, families, and groups. My clinical experience includes conducting psychological assessments for children, teens, and adults. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing anxiety, depression, AD/HD, trauma-related concerns, and life transitions.

I believe that healing begins from the inside and together we can achieve your goals of healthy healing.

-For the personal quote section - "I believe that life is an opportunity to explore and uncover new things about ourselves and the world around us. Exploring life is not always an easy task and sometimes it can feel overwhelming or uncomfortable but only you can explore your world.  As you explore your version of life remember that your journey is just as important as your destination.”
