Life can be challenging, overwhelming, and stressful at times. You may feel in a rut and stuck, and it can feel impossible to work through the emotions that you are experiencing. Therapy is a safe space to explore and overcome those feelings and become your best self.

With a master’s and doctorate in clinical psychology, I have worked with adolescent and adult individuals, groups, couples, and families with a variety of life stressors. I have primarily worked with adolescents managing anxiety and depression and adults with serious mental illness and substance related disorders.

As a client-centered clinician, I acknowledge that each person is unique and may not experience emotions in the same way. I provide individual and couples therapy to adolescents and adults utilizing evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. I tailor my approach to best fit the unique needs of my clients, and I am committed to helping you reach your personal goals and help you make the changes you want in your life. I am also available to conduct evaluations for individuals who are in search for an in-depth assessment. My goals for an evaluation are to provide the clarity in areas that may be affecting an individual by providing feedback and recommendations to help them move forward.

Additionally, while my education and training has been focused on clinical psychology, I also have specialized training in forensic psychology. To read more about my forensic evaluation experience, read here. It is my personal goal, along with the team at KKJ, to approach your case with the utmost respect and dignity.

From Samantha:
In today’s world, it is easy to get caught up in the challenges that life throws at you. During these times, I remind myself of the quote by Lao Tzu- “Be content with what you have. Rejoice in how things are.” I use this quote as a reminder to stay in the moment. I believe that finding new skills to help myself stay grounded and in the moment always improves my physical and emotional health. Although I find myself learning new skills daily, some personal favorites of mine are hiking, walking my dog, and spending time with friends and family.
