Nervous System Reset Series

Nervous System Reset Series

Practical tools for stress, rest, and everyday wellness

Feeling overwhelmed, worn down, or disconnected from the things that matter to you? Work, caregiving, relationships, and life changes can leave little room to notice what you need.

The Nervous System Reset Series offers adults time to understand what is happening, reflect, and practice ways to care for the mind and body. Led by Dr. Katrina Kuzyszyn-Jones, this program combines brief education with writing, gentle movement, relaxation, and nature-based practices.

The same core content in the four-hour workshop, including breaks and a closing nature-based practice.

Understand what you’re experiencing

We’ll explore how stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression differ - and how they can overlap. You’ll learn to recognize changes in thoughts, emotions, sleep, energy, and physical tension, and consider when additional professional support may be helpful.

Each topic will involve psychoeducation and then move into reflection and practice.

  • Understand and reflect. Learn about stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression. Use guided writing to identify your main concern. Practice ways to help calm the nervous system.
  • Explore values and rest. Complete a values and rest self-assessment, notice what is missing, and choose one small change. Experience a guided rest practice.
  • Practice and plan. Explore gentle yoga, comfortable breath awareness, mindful movement, and relaxation. Identify what helps and begin setting realistic wellness goals.
  • Connect and carry forward. Take part in a nature-based practice and complete a 30-day wellness plan, including rest, boundaries, and support. For the online series, nature practice may involve a plant, natural object, or view through a window, if you are unable to go outside.

For the one-day workshop: We’ll follow the same sequence—understanding, writing, values and rest, mind-body practice, and planning—then close with nature-based reflection and a final review of your plan. Our outdoor options will depend on the weather but will occur in a natural setting; seated options will be available.

What you can take with you

  • A clearer understanding of your stress signals and needs
  • Simple mind-body practices to use during the day
  • A plan for rest, meaningful priorities, and ongoing wellness

No yoga or meditation experience is needed. Bring something for writing exercises. Wear comfortable clothing. Sharing is optional; you can adapt a practice or simply observe.

This is an educational wellness program, not group psychotherapy or a treatment for depression. The self-assessments are reflective tools, not diagnostic tests.

Investment and registration
The virtual series is $149. The in-person workshop is $175. Both include a Downloadable pdf workbook.
