Mia Owens, Intern

Mia Owens

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology from NC State University, I’m currently exploring various areas of psychology before pursuing my Master’s degree. My position here involves writing informative blog posts about couple’s counseling and exploring other aspects of clinical and forensic psychology. My career goal is to work as a researcher or therapist in the field of marital and family therapy. Along with this internship, I’m working as a behavioral technician for children with developmental disabilities, using an Applied Behavioral approach along with other modalities.

I was born in Los Angeles, California, but raised in Davidson, North Carolina. I am an animal-lover, and I spend time volunteering at animal sanctuaries and learning about wildlife. I am also a film fanatic, which is why I love seeing movies at the Alamo Drafthouse with my family and friends
