Separation and divorce are in the top 3 most stressful life events one can experience, but you are not alone.

If you are in the early stages of the divorce process, KKJ offers services to enable you and your partner to end your marriage with dignity and compassion for one another. We can help you move forward from your divorce, enable you and your partner to communicate about information pertinent to the divorce, and assist you in developing your own parenting plan.

We know that adversarial litigation is ill suited for resolving most parenting disputes. Effective alternatives must consider the psychological and emotional issues that are involved with divorce. Effective resolution addresses the legal, financial and emotional issues related to obtaining a divorce.

When you Design Your Own Divorce, there are several options to consider:

Traditional Mediation
In traditional mediation, you and your partner will come and meet with Dr. KKJ for a one day, all day mediation session. This session will be confidential and involve no notes and no court. You will be provided a summary that can be used to develop a separation agreement.

Mediation Sessions
Mediation with a Twist! Here, you and your partner will meet with Dr. KKJ for several mediation sessions. These sessions are confidential, and the issues raised cannot be used in court. You will be provided a summary that you can be used to develop a separation agreement.

Co-Parenting Therapy
You and your co-parent will meet with Dr. KKJ to develop a parenting plan. These therapy sessions are confidential, and the sessions may be reimbursable under your out-of-network health care plan. You can stay in this process to work out issues as they arise over time.

Collaborative Divorce
Collaborative divorce is a process where both parties sign an agreement not to go to court. The process focuses on the interests and needs of the parents and children, maintains relationships, and protects the privacy of everyone involved. As a Collaborative Divorce Coach or Child Specialist, Dr. KKJ can help support you, and help you develop a parenting plan with your Collaborative Divorce attorney.
